It was a downloadable report maintained by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and organized by facility, name, and charge rows.
The report is useful because it shows dense public custody details in one place. It does not show mugshots in the inspected PDF, and it should not be treated as a full criminal case file. Once charges enter the court system, the court date and docket information should be checked with the Clerk or Portal as well.

Orange County Jail Facility

Orange County's arrest-support information is unusually direct. The county tells families to check the Daily Custody Report first, then call the jail if the person is not there yet. Questions to ask include what the charges are, whether they are felonies or misdemeanors, what the bond is, and when first appearance will occur.
First appearances for detained misdemeanor and felony defendants are documented as weekday proceedings in Courtroom 3 of the Orange County Courthouse. Orange County Detention Center visitation is documented on the Sheriff's visitation page. Detainees can be visited in person or virtually using HomeWav. Free terminal visits are scheduled through HomeWav, then the visitor appears at the detention center at the scheduled time to use the terminal.

The visitation source ties the vendor rules back to the local jail, which matters because HomeWav alone is not the custodian of Orange County inmate records.

The manifest includes the HomeWav vendor because Orange County uses HomeWav for detention visits. The vendor page is not the jail roster and does not replace the Sheriff's current detainees report. It is a scheduling and communication channel for approved visits and video messages.

The Orange County Sheriff NC mobile app is documented in both major app stores. Mail, Funds, and Commissary Limits
The captured official detention pages did not locate a mail-scanning policy, commissary vendor, inmate money deposit vendor, phone provider, tablet program, or detailed attorney-visit rules. Those gaps should not be filled from unofficial sources. Use the detention phone for current instructions before sending mail or funds.
For court status after a booking, use the Portal, the Clerk of Superior Court, or the docket details in the custody report. For statewide prison, probation, or parole, use NC DAC instead of the Orange County jail roster.
